How do most dogs react to the shock? I have never seen an e-collar used and will have to before I form an opinion.

I saw this on t.v. Once, it happened to a older man he was eating peas and one of the peas went down the wrong pipe and ended up in his lung. A few weeks later he was having trouble breathing. Doctors found a plant growing in his lung.....maybe it's the same thing?
