Re: Bike Tow Leash

[quote="Munster"]I just wonder why they are all on the left side. if you they would put it on the right side, the dog could run on th grassy part of the bike trails and not rub the feet raw.[/quote Walky dog can be used on either side of the bike. If I road 1 dog it's on the right, 2 dogs 1 on each ...

Re: Bike Tow Leash

Have the walkydog set up with two clamps on the seat post so I can road 1 or 2 dogs at the same time, whichever I choose. This will be my 3rd year using this system and have had cats, dogs, rabbits etc run around them and never came close to going down. Dogs get used to this and it doesn't take them...

Re: New Kennels

I will check them out. I like to buy local and it looks like a quality product. Gives the small businesses a chance. Also I can look at products first hand. Thanks

Re: New Kennels

All five of my kennels are Pro-Built along with 3 of my dog houses. Small, family owned business, very friendly and knowledgeable about your kennel needs. Lots of different options as far as kennels. Just some more food for thought. Any contact info on these kennels would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Running an EP with a Mtn Bike

I have used the walkydog for aprox 2yrs and use it about 3-4 times a week on a national park towpath. I have had deer, groundhogs, squirrels, geese, dogs, rabbits run across and in front of my dogs. They will try and chase but there are springs inside the walkydog that takes up any shock from the d...

Re: working on steady question

I sbould add to my previous post that I use released quail in light cover to start pups on birds and once they start catching the birds I never run them on released birds again until steady. I will drive 70-80 miles sometimes just to run them on wild birds. It's worth it to me. Wild birds are the be...

Re: working on steady question

I agree with ezzy. Let the dog chase. I try to run pups on wild birds if possible and let them go. Once pups start breaking off chasing and are collar conditioned I start tapping button at low level until they stop. In no time they start stopping to flush with very little pressure. Like a child lear...

Re: Introducing gunfire without any fancy gear

You can buy a starter pistol at most sporting goods stotes pretty cheap. I bought one at Bass Pro that shoots a primer load or crimps for around 50 bucks. Works good enough for me just have to clean it regularly.

Re: Black Kettle/Packsaddle Oklahoma

I hunt these 2 areas every year and the quail population has been declining for several years. There are birds there but it's not like it used to be. I hunt Kansas as much as I can and some days are better than others. Last year was a tough one in both states. There are several public areas around w...

Re: TT or sportdog?

I have SD 1800 and added beeper 3 years ago. Collar is 7 years old and have never had a problem. Had TT before that, The Judge, loved it until someone stole it. Bought the SD because I needed one Asap and that was the only collar availabe where I was at.

Re: Springer bike jogger?

I have walkiedog and think it is much better than leash only. Had several close calls with leash only. The bar along with being spring loaded works quite well to absorb occaisional jerk and seems to help keep dog away from bike. I tried my roading harness so as not to have dog pulling on collar but ...
