Re: Expectations For My New Backyard Bred Puppy
Sounds like you have good plan. I am also a northern Wisconsin grouse hunter. My only suggestion would be is to buy a gps collar the piece of mind it gives makes for a great hunting experience.

Re: Lost Dog
The dog was found two miles north of my cabin this morning by a turkey hunter. He was tired and hungry but no worse for the wear. Thanks to anyone who saw this and looked.

I have gone and watched a few trials now and they look fun. I decided last spring that is something I would like to try. The only thing holding me back is the dog I currently have a six yr old pointer who I think would do ok at this format but he is not registered. I have tried unsuccessfully severa...

Re: Outdoor Kennel Floor - Cheap
Not sure what you consider cheap, but a 10x10x4 inch area is about a yard of concrete or roughly 55 bags at 2 bucks a bag. A lot of work mixing that much but for less than 150 bucks you can poor a pretty decent run

Question for the electricians
I would like to run my cabin with a solar panel. I currently run off a 1500 watt Honda generator and would like to use that for back up and to charge my battery station. At max usage I would probably have 3 60 watt bulbs an older radio receiver and a 40 inch newer flat screen tv. Any suggestions on ...

Advice on buying and older puppy
I am thinking about buying an 8 month old pointer pup. He has pretty much been socialized introduced to a few birds (bumps and chases) seems to know kennel and has a little bit of recall. The owner doesn't believe in putting any pressure on the dog in the first year. I went and looked at the dog in ...

Would you want the same range out of your hunting dog as you would out of your trial dog and why? Not trying to start the old hunting dog v trial dog fight just trying to decide what I should be looking for in my grouse dog.

I am a male 37 year old carpenter. I have been hunting since I was old enough to carry a gun. I currently have a an english pointer couch potatoe. I thought theses dogs were supposed to be high strung. We mostly hunt grouse in Northern Wisconsin.
