I have carried the Ruger LC9, Ruger LCR (revolver) in .357 and the springfield XD-s in .45. My favorite is the XD-s and the .357. Both carry well inside the pants and have the knock down power. Do a google search and for the gun and put for sale after it. I saw 2 for sale with a quick search, 1 from cabelas for 1100 and the other was on armslist for 2000. Quite a bit of difference so im not sure if there are other options for your gun. Hope this helps.

Knee her harder. My shorthair did the same thing and I would cock my knee back when she would start coming toward me and I would let her have it. As far as the counter surfing, we tried everything. What finally worked was baiting mousetraps. I was worried about hurting the pup so I snapped myself first to make sure I wouldnt break a toe. My shorthair does the same thing. She loves toilet paper and papertowels. On the advice on many of the wonderful people on here, i watch her body and adjust her food accordingly. I feed her 3 cups a day, 1.5 in the am and pm. I would just watch her weight.
