The last 4-5 times I took him out he goes straight to his spot and does his buisiness.. I don't think he...

Re: German Shorthairs
What are going to do with him? Haha well I guess it all depends on how well I can train myself to train him. He must first be and obedient house dog. On the hunting side of things I'm really trying to figure it out. I think I want him to be a good shed antler dog and retriever. Then also be able to...

Releasing Quail..
Well my granddad has 140 acres with a couple small coveys around if I were to buy and release quail how difficult would it be to establish a breeding/surviving population? Would this be a plausible idea to establish somewhere near the house to hunt/train??

Re: will this method work?
This is a method I kinda made up, dunno if anyone else would suggest it. But tie fishing line to a steak then have a swivel on the other end and attach it to the birds foot. Make sure the birds foot can't come out and the line is heavy enough cut it however long you want the bird to be able to go.

Re: Incorrect Advice Given about Training a pup/dog.
My grandad had three pointers, the youngest he trained by running with the older two. Was a great dog (well behaved) but never pointed a bird himself. He would only point when one of the others did. That is, unless you left the other two at home... He did jus fine when it was just you and him take o...
