There is no way to know from your post if you have a problem. Pointing distance can vary depending on many different factors. You should be able to tell if your dog smells birds and then creeps further in. If this is happening, then you probably do have a problem. If this isn't happening then poor ...

Just curious what kind of distance are you looking for when the dog goes on point? My 1.5 Y/O GSP points pretty close to the birds maybe 5 yards at max. Is there a way to lengthen this so she doesn't spook the birds, the release site I hunt in mainly the birds don't spook to easy, so when I finally ...

What does the scent cone do when its hot out? My dog and I went to a release site and they put out 5 pheasants and it didn't seem like she could smell them until she could get right on top of them!! Is this normal? It was about 90 degrees out!

This is who I used and he is great. There are other trainers in the area and I visited a few of them. Quicksilver kennel is a bit of a drive but well worth it! I am going to have another dog trained by him in the future!

The dog is 15 months old, and she retrieved but it was a tennis ball, i gave her some dead birds but never made her play fetch with them, probably should have though!

I put my name and phone number and city or town I live In. I wouldn't put reward, people might screw you out of alot of cash. My vet even told me that. I also don't put the pets name because what use is a dog if they don't know the dogs name. It won't listen!
