Some times the cost of producing a dog may be worth the risk involved. Holding onto all pups until proper testing is done if you breed known carriers would not break your bank or budget. Breeding superior dogs benifit us all, FTers, NAVHDA, Hunting Dogs etc. If your breeding superior dog with gentic defects or carriers are you really devolping a dog ????

If the white and lemon is small -e and the pups DNA as the sire you say makes your female a small-e carrier. All you have done is set somone else ...

Personally, I think retrieving should be eliminated and recorded as an add-on vs. required by breed. Same with water tests. I'm not a field trialer. IMO a retrieve should be required in the field under actual conditions vs call back. Folks say FT dogs are the best but most don't require a retrieve ...

We do ask that pups we breed carry our kennel name. Never had a problem with that. Some kennels will not sell a pup that doesn't carry there kennel name. Some will void any type of guarantee.

No matter the out come ,ee or mutation GSPs of this color should never reproduce. IMO niether should the sire or dam should reproduce.. To say breed the female to a none carrier you still can have a percentage of the pups that could be a carrier. Imo when breeding I have a responsibility to the bree...

I'm opinionated on this subject. DNA only shows sire and dam a correct. There is more than likely EP in the ancestry. Maybe a Ep used as stud instead of a GSP.

If you know cash you shouldn't have to ask. It's not a bad thing if you like tough dogs. Dogs make great hunting dogs. Very knowledgeable folks. Their test record in NAVDHA is outstanding..
