I would not recommend the LCS launcher. I just returned 2 of them and they really are poorly built, and the electronics are not reliable. I have had many many training opportunities blown with my dog because it wouldn't launch.

I was under the impression that the tubular models like the 70, 90, etc were far superior than the sport versions. If this unit is too much for my dog, why would it be ok for another?

You need to make the crate a happy place. When they are hungry, through some treats in there and encourage him to get in, and dont close the door. Make it comfortable, and praise when he's in there. Starting some pigeon work. Question is how to train once he gets scent? Am I training to mark the bird with a "sit" and then command the flush, or should I just let him flush him out and have him steady once it flushes?
