Re: What's the most unusual breed bird dog you ever saw?
My buddy hunted the family's German Shepard a few times, she worked the field pretty good. My dad hunted behind a friends GSD a few times as well. We used to take our little wirehair terrier mix out when we were kids, she definitely helped us!

Does anyone know if a Lake Master contour map SD card will work in a Alpha unit? Headed north for an ice fishing trip this weekend and if it works it would be helpful but don't want to corrupt the GPS or SD card. TIA

Staph infection . What causes a staph infection? I just noticed similar bumps, some with whiteheads on my dogs underside. She did run through a kinda of swampy area this weekend. Re: gps average ground speed per breed
During hunts my little setter will usually average 7-8mph while putting on 10-20 'dog miles' over the span of a few hours hunting. When running the bike trails in the summer she'll average 12-13 mph while putting on 8-10 miles. Typically my brothers GWP's (60# & 70#) will have an extra mile or two a...

The field trial grounds are only a small percentage of the land out there. I was out there this morning also, but stayed away from the area they release the birds. Looking for recommendations for a chest/belly protector for my little setter. Her nipples are getting rubbed raw on a long days hunt. I've read reviews on several brands and styles and a lot of them seem to cause chafing damage around the front leg pits, which already collect some cockle burrs. She'...

My setter is about 18 months now, still a thin coat. Honestly I really like it, I don't have to trim her at all. She rarely catches any stickers except for early fall the 'beggers lice' we call them, but they stick to everything. She still sheds some but not real bad. Swims fast too, easily out swim...

My 6-1/2 MO setter pup still has one canine puppy tooth left. The opposite side dropped a solid 6 weeks ago if not longer. The adult teeth mate up fine, just the one "extra" tooth. Will this cause any issues to be concerned with? Everything else looks fine.
