Re: Double barrel shotgun

I have a 20g CZ RIngneck which I really enjoy and have had no problems with. Beautiful gun for the money. The lack of ejectors can be a little frustrating when the shooting is good, but for the money and the weight of the gun, it is the price you pay.

Re: All-Around Best Pistol

John--great insight. It is too bad you are right on Taurus, they make several guns that fit and shoot well--just not with the consistency I like to see. It seems like they are good or bad right out of the box. I have owned three and sold one of those. It was a 709 my wife had as a carry gun...then I...

Re: All-Around Best Pistol

No wheelgun fans? Always a good choice, too... If this is your first handgun--a lot of choices here are great. Many people seem to start with 9mm and move up in caliber as their comfort level grows. Find a good range that rents guns for use or ask your friends to let you try your recommendations. If...

Re: Responsible Firearms ownership

Wyndancer--I think you are on to something. Just think about all of the good which would come from hundreds of government agencies 'teaching and testing us' to qualify to exercise our rights. Just a few... Testing to have children...boy, they could teach us how to feed them, nurture them, the right ...

Re: Responsible Firearms ownership

In my humble opinion, we cannot give one inch toward additional regulations for firearms...you just cannot (nor should we continue to attempt to) legislate stupidity or evildoers.

Re: GSP ate a quail!

It sounds like a one time deal to me...I used to see it with some dogs when they were under too much pressure in training as an f-you.

Not sure where you can find it, but there is a great story out there by Havilah Babcok 'The Reformation of BO' about a dog with a appetite for quail.

Re: Toyota Tundra

When I was looking for a truck two years ago, I took a lot of time to drive as many as I could and spoke to a lot of people. I was fortunate to be able to purchase from any of the players (Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Dodge and GM) at their 'friends and family' or similar pricing due to the job I had. Thro...

Re: Who has the right to name the dog?

I had a breeder once send a 'contract' after I had purchased a dog from them. The dog was 6 months old, so they had ample opportunity to register the dog. Prior to the sale, we had discussed some of the points of the contract--health guarantees, etc. I cannot recall if I ever signed it or not but I ...

Two is best. As far as position, Michelin recommends new tires in the rear.
