This is what I have and LOVE it. It is about 30 yards from my kennel, for a small timer like myself it has been just the thing. I have held Chuckars in it as well.

There is so much info on here and on the web unless your a total push over train your own dog. It's fun bonds you and the dog better than any trainer can do. I paid for hour sessio...

Re: remote launchers
They are the same launcher, they even have LCS label on them. I saved and bit the bullet and bought two from GDS and so far I love them. The little controller needs a lanyard attached to it since its pretty small. They are quick to respond and light weight to carry. I have launched Chuckars and pige...

Re: Inbred dogs.
There is a difference between inbreeding and line breeding or inline breeding. Line breeding is used and accepted more often than the other. I'm not a breeder or expert by any stretch just had done some reading prior on the subject. "Inbreeding and linebreeding are NOT the same. inbreeding is breedi...

I put some through the launcher Saturday...there is no reproducing that sound. Man they shoot out of there. I used some long tangle free decoy line(30') tied that to some rubber tubing and then tied that to some green garden twine with a noose that I hobble to the legs so I can catch and reuse. Of c...

Re: bird launcher
I bought two of them from GDS last month. Just launched my first birds last night while doing some CC work. I am not totally confident in my birds returning to the loft yet so I got some garden twine and made a noose (thanks to utube) from the twine I tied off to some rubber sling shot type tubing f...

Lion Country Brand Launcher Reviews???
I have my second launcher sitting on my porch today via brown truck, does any one have any reviews of the Gun Dog Supply/Lion Country launchers called BL2 Quail launcher. Re: Pigeon raising during the winter
Mine just hatched this week got two, how long until I can start to fly them...just curious. I know its probably when they get their adult feathers or flight feathers but how long is that on average. How does such a pretty bird start SO UGLY!!! Around 30 days or so? One way I tell if they are ready ...

Re: stop to flush drills?
On the flush as positive reinforcement starting to reinforce steady that way is interesting. I have seen this before and have these thoughts. 1) when using positive reinforcement, the reward is used to reinforce the behavior but also usually marks the END of the behavior. So if I want steady after ...

Re: Homer
That wire care on the left actually goes over that hole on the left as well, its kind of a mini aviary to look around outside of the loft. I could block that hole and just put the birds in that cage set on the bench in front of the bobs to achieve what you are talking about.

Re: Homer
I had a pigeon that came back from a race probably three months after the race was held. Granted, he didn't place that race :) but he (rather, she) did real well in a couple races earlier. Another thing is to make sure that the pigeons know how to get back in the loft, as part of the settling proce...

If you are going to try and rehome them I would suggest you wait till they have nested and are on the nest. Ezzy I won't let them out until I know I for sure have a batch of up and comers.
