Re: Snake Breaking/Avoidance
I have used a large gopher snake and an e-collar. I light the dog up when it comes in contact with the snake or they catch a whiff of it. I never figured my dogs would be good herpetologists so I wanted them to avoid all species of snakes. This seems to work, they avoid all snakes not just sleazy v...

Re: Ruger 28 Gauge
I have always found the feel of a Ruger to be bulky/chunky. It's weight supports my perception and not what I enjoy in my forays afield. In my estimation, I believe you are misinterpreting feel for fit. A gun should fit you however if both a Ruger and a Purdey were made to the exact same specs, the...

Not something to be taken lightly. My darling wife had a crusty little dog that was prone to seizures and it did not end well. Without diving into the particulars of your previous attempt, it sounds as if your dog did a pretty good job of training you (no offense intended). That's a great looking dog and I wouldn’t worry about it provided you are engaged with a veterinarian who knows the dog. I would seek out siblings as Ezzy suggested though..just because. Be very cautious if you are not educated. Several different options. The very best is to bite the bullet and pay for coyote rollers on the top of the fence.
