Re: grouse hunting during deer season
If i remember correctly, grouse will not be in during firearms deer in PA. But even if it is, just wear orange and avoid an area if you know a hunter is already there. Just use common courtesy but dont avoid hunting because deer season is in. Before i bird hunted, i had plenty of gundoggers come thr...

Came across this in craigslist. Ive seen plenty of solid liver, and black patched with roan or white. Never seen solid black. I could care less bout color, just curious if this is rare and how are these pedigrees? Dams seems decent but not sure about sire's pedigree. http://www.countrytimepups.com/p...

Also pay attention to the wind..if you see where the singles land, circle around and bring her in cross wind to that area. You'll know when she hits the scent.

have you let her chase them after launching, or the wild birds she busts? Let her get it out of her system and realize she cannot catch a bird without you. she should sart to point. try some stop to flush drills with the launcher down wind.

Sorry, I wasnt accusing vets. Just saying I hope he isn't because it seems like a urine analysis would have been a good initial suggestion or blood work..when I think of xray I think of skelatel system, but i am far from being a doctor. Every doctor has different techniques and I realize that.

Re: Where do I go to find Texas hunting lease?
Good luck. I have been here 2.5 years now and quail leases are tough to find. They seem to be more expensive because you need a lot of land to hold enough covies compared to big game. First year here I got on a deer/nilgai lease. Didnt see many deer or Nilgai. But they let me quail hunt last 6 weeks...

I am not throwing bumpers during the session but a couple fun throws after the session as it says to in the Smartfech book. Yes i have used a paint roller up until now. In the book it says to switch to bumper when you start transitioning to fetching (bumper) off the ground.
