sheds: go get em

Man, I hit he jackpot in finding sheds today while walking Sophie. Found four in one hour and had to quit as I could not carry any more. Each was larger than the last and the last one was the right side of a very nice buck (all were from nice bucks actually, last was a monster). I took a pic but my ...

pup snap pointed a lot when I first got her, then not at all. I never did the wing on a string, but tried it after a suggestion. It took 5 sessions before she stopped chasing and started pointing, at which point I realized I forgot my camera. I don't plan on wearing this out, but I think it was a go...

love Weimer's! I grew up on stories of my father's dogs and still love hearing about a good hunting Weim.

that was sure a Kodak moment... kind of a shame the camera was not up to task. I've made up my mind to invest in a DSLR camera and start yet another hobby. :)

Very happy to report good news from the Vet today. He said Sophie's heart sounded much better. When I told him of my plans to wait a year for testing, he said she sounded so much better he thought she wouldn't need it. I will have her checked again in a couple months. Thanks to all for good mojo and...

I buy rawhide strips and throw them out frequently along with some other toys I have to rotate to keep the pup interested. A good chew toy is money well-spent for a contented dog. I'm not real big on giving treats, but when I do, I try to make them healthy ones.

a heart murmur

I could use a bit of moral support. Sophie has a heart murmur and I won't know why until next week. I'm hoping someone will tell me not to worry and things should be OK. Her energy level is just great, so vet is not overly worried yet.

please pull for her.

I think Delmar would refer you to "point of contact'. You need to be able to enforce a command, so you need a point of contact (leash or check rope).

Pup will do whatever you let him or her do and then some.

Just posing a question... I believe I have some foxtail in the neighbors yard. Other grasses seem to die off next to it (I've read foxtail does that as it spreads). Animax ointment

I can't talk to my vet until monday and I thought I would post a question here. Pup has a sore on her inner thigh, my vet gave me a tube of Animax ointment for the pup's ears (and other small cuts). hang in there. I am just now getting through it and it is the worst part of owning a pup. I got her bite inhibition to improve with yelping, then started eliminating the biting by holding her snout a bit and doing a deep growl-like grunt. I also noticed a big improvement after doing regular 'settle'...

easy to resize a pic with Paint. Open pic, go to Image\Stretch/Skew and then resize the pic to a smaller percentage. You can also go Image\Attributes, and it will tell you the size in pixels to make sure pics are not too large for a website.

I like the two smaller pics a lot :)
