Quail recall pen

I don't know of any place. If you have the time, you could easily make one any size that would fit your needs. If you have a local hardware store, just get a roll of 1/2"x 1/2" wire, cut the panels you need and wire them together. I made my own funnel for it too. Its strong enough to carry 20 birds...

Does anyone know of a company that makes a recall pen like the one Lion Country Supply has but bigger?

I am currently feeding one of my setters 4 health and she seems to like it and I like what I am seeing so far. I think it a great deal for a quality dry food!

I'm not a professional by any means but I don't use wings, dummies and dead birds for them to point after they have been started on live birds. What I do though is always keep them on a check cord and if you don't have a helper stick a tie out stake in the ground behind them so you still have tensio...

Here is part of the report from RGS Eric heard individual drumming survey route reports that had similar results as last year and many more that are up 20 to 40 percent from last year. That is the good news. Subsequently, there have been a smattering of reports of broods that are smaller than what p...

My dad would always take me out hunting on Thanksgiving morning and I've continued on with my boys. Anyone else make it out?

I can't justify paying those prices to hunt. I do travel out of state once a year to grouse hunt and couldn't imagine paying an added fee to have a place to hunt once I get there. Ohio is getting really bad on this land leasing(mainly for deer and turkey) and it makes it difficult for someone wantin...

Re: The Worst Advice I Have Ever Read

I agree 100% Doug.I'm in Ohio & unfortunately we don't have enough wild birds to work dogs enough on to get them broke so have to use what's available. When I started we had Bob W Quail out the butt but the blizzards of 77 & 78 wiped out 90% of them & it's been down hill ever since. I used to be abl...

Upset with TT, big time!

I am having trouble with my G2 beeper. It needs a new speaker or one of the probes that come off of the bottom of the speaker. They told me they didn't have the parts but I could send it in and they could fix with a $60 labor fee. It would take less than 5 minutes to fix but how can they fix it if t...

Last weekend a friend and I were out and only found 3-4 woodcock. That was with four dogs on the ground at a time. We are located in southeastern Ohio. It can only get better in the next few weeks!

New from Southeastern Ohio

My name is Mike and I'm a husband and father of two boys. I have 3 English Setters and a black Lab. I enjoy grouse hunting in a state that is about to put grouse on the endangered species list.
