Re: CZ Upland Ultra Light

I purchased one earlier this year from a local gun shop primarily for phez and quail hunting. I made the mistake a few weeks ago taking it out dove hunting to try and get more used to shooting it, all I can say is ouch!,( it is super light and not made to be shot all day). The gun seems very durable...

Re: Garmin Alpha/Astro

Does anyone know if you can just use the regular astro collar with the alpha if you wanted to add a dog without having to buy a additional alpha/e-collar? I really need two tracking collars and not the e-collar feature on both, plus you could use the regular tracking collar in a trial if needed. J

Re: invisible yard fence and e collar

I have 4 dogs all on invisible fence collars, I was also worried about my GSP pup getting confused between it and the e collar. I have a great inv fence rep (fortunately) that services my area and he and my dog trainer both told me that it would be no problem mainly because different brands of colla...

Thanks to Gun dog development!!

I just wanted to say thanks to Hunter Payne of Gun dog development for allowing me to send my GSP Bullitt to Iowa as a part of one of his wild bird training programs. Hunter and I traveled last weekend to our friend Jim McGradys house to get my pup after six long weeks of training in pheasant countr...

Re: in your opinion, which breed for a beginner?

Be sure to get good directions because it is out in the sticks and the gps will get you lost bad! Feel free t...

Re: Tornadoes in Georgia

I live in NGa. probably about 5 miles away from Rick and Brenda in Lafayette, we got a lot of rain in our area and some high winds but no damage to speak of. I think a tornado touched down about 30 miles south of us yesterday in Calhoun Ga. but I dont know the extent of the damage yet. The last two ...

Re: They're not called Pointers, they're Shorthairs!!!!!

The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when my son and I were standing out in front of a restaurant a few months ago waiting on my wife to arrive. I have two gsp's the male is patched and ticked and my female is just ticked, both have liver heads. We had been up at gundog dev all day traini...

Dog Collar Sizing?

My Gsp's are kinda on the smaller side for the breed I guess (prob about 45lbs or so) I normally get the hi viz orange 16" collars which seem to work fine but lc supply only offers their collars in either 15" or 17"! They say that the 15" will go to 16 1/2, is this the best way to go? I dont think I...

Re: Missing GSP Clay Center KS.

My 7 year old wanted to name our new dog "Bullet" before we even found a breeder and chose a dog. I knew that I wanted a GSP and convinced my wife to start looking for one with me. We searched gundog breeder and found a kennel below Atlanta that had recently had a litter, turns out the sire of the l...

Re: Missing GSP Clay Center KS.

What a difference a day makes!! Because of this forum and many people who I have never met or even talked to before in my l...

Re: Missing GSP Clay Center KS.

I have too many people to thank! Right now I can not reasonably write a proper post after traveling 1700 miles round trip in the last 32 hrs. In the morning after I get to work and settle down I am going to be thanking a lot of people and this forum for helping us. Bullitt is safe at home with his f...

Re: Lost GSP- Clay Center, KS

I am the owner of this dog, his name is Bullitt and he got "spooked" monday night after hunting all day with my friend Curt and would not let them load him in the truck, he has on a orange hunter collar but unfortunately it has no id and he is not chipped. I have a 14 yr old son in Ga. right now tha...
