heat water bowls danger

just readed this on PDJ forum and thought I should past it on.

I just came in from the kennel from finding my 18mo. GSP chewed the bottom off her brand new heated water bowl and was electrocuted. I figured I'd pass it along as alot of guys use them in the winter.

A good base is important and drainage, I have a patio slab on the side of my house that the previous owner did and it is washing out on the corners. My Mom's patio has a low spot in the middle, which leaves a puddle there most of the winter.

Find someone to finish is a good idea.

I just got a new loft for the birds I have and it seems to be working well against predators so far. It's a chain link dog kennel with 2 extra panels 1 on top and another on the bottom. A noise sensitive dog may react in a bad way to the cap pistol or blank pistol, while eating as my llew did.
So if I could do it all over again I would get the dog bird crazy first and intro the cap during the chase.
