How young is to young? I'm not to keen on the breeders choice of purina puppy chow & would love to get him on a better food.

Sounds like hard work paid off

I crate trained my GSP & until we stopped hunting him @ 6 he was fine with it. From 6-11 years old he got free run & only a couple of new papers paid for it.
