Re: the judge

The Second Amendment has been the subject of one of the greatest pieces of fraud, I repeat the word 'fraud,' on the American public by special interest groups that I have ever seen in my lifetime.

Re: But wait ... what would you pay?

This is a really good topic that cuts to the heart of a lot of things. My short answer is it would depend on the landowner, land, stewardship, and experience. If I feel a private landowner is contributing to better collective game mgmt at large in a state, than I'd probably pay once or twice just to...

Wow. I believe that raccoon stuff. We've got them in the neighborhood, and pretty much everyone else does. I watched 9 of those suckers come out of my sister's chimney one time. I did research on cats for a little while. They will kill when given the opportunity, but nearly always will come back to ...

Re: Hearing to Ban all Hunting Dogs in California

There are certainly situations when you get into a "predator pit", where there are too many predators going after a plummeting prey population. The research I've seen on this usually cites these predators being subsidized by some other healthy prey species that maintains the predators when the hurti...

There definitely are a number of folks who want to take all guns, although I imagine they are in the tiny minority. Re: Hearing to Ban all Hunting Dogs in California

From what I've read of the agenda, I don't think this hearing has anything to do with trapping. I only mentioned trapping because I went to check out the Coyote Project site and it says they are against trapping on public land. My own opinion is that trapping seems ill-advised on public lands where ...

I'm not sure that analogy works, because you can't ride your gun to work, the store, ie. the primary purpose of cars. Guns are designed to go boom. That's all they do. That said, I like and own guns. They allow me to hunt effectively and humanely. At the same time I wouldn't be opposed to installing...

Climate is getting warmer and dryer, and it is having an affect on fires. The fire season starts earlier and ends later today than historically recorded. Wow great responses! Thanks all. As a runner in the heat during the summer I think I'm leaning towards either gsp or vizsla. Besides the heat I think my boys may also be a limiting factor for a Brit. They may not get gun-shy, but they may get two young hellions on a sugar rush-shy.
