Re: NA test at Carolina Chapter

I'm a member of the Carolinas Chapter.
the Sand Hills Game Land is a great venue.
Fred Rice is the test secretary and runs a great test. I believe we have 27 NA dogs and 8 Utility dogs this weekend.
You will have the best lunch at a test you've ever had.

Re: National Championship

$2,000 seems inexpensive for a dog of that lineage. I was thinking more like $5k - $10K

Re: National Championship

So, what would a Bo-sired puppy go for? Just curious for a ballpark figure.

Re: GSP Breeders

another vote for Friedelsheim.
I have a nice dog out of Thunder x Joule. Seen many others perform well in NAVHDA testing. Great drive, temperament and conformation. Donnie is a stand-up guy to deal with. He has two litters on the way.

Re: newbie going to North Dakota

Great advice; thanks guys. We'll have 5-6 dogs, so there should be fresh legs (maybe not some much for the gunners.) :D

newbie going to North Dakota

Long time lurker here. Me and four of my friends from North Carolina are driving to N.D. this Saturday for a week-long quest for sharpies and Huns. We're staying near Jamestown and hunting private land. we'll have a nice mix of Continental breeds (and a pointer). I have a good amount of experience h...

Re: looking for a pup

Lab, At 11 months old my dog is 47 pounds and 23" at the shoulder. As for range, she adjusts to cover. she'll get out 200 yards in the open field and maybe 50 in the woods. She always "checks back." I didn't say it in my earlier post but her water drive is impressive as well. Loves water retrieves a...

Re: looking for a pup

I have one of Donnie's pups from Thunder x Joule and she's a great dog. Tested NA II (108 pts) at age 7 months after being injured the morning of the test. Calm in the house and a dynamo in the field. Great prey drive, super temperament, natural retriever, heck of a nose.
