They don't. They have had the black ones on even footing with the livers for years. The Article I posted talks about this.

Well Pick up day finally came and went on the 1st, and the little guy is 7 weeks old now. Out in the yard he will lock up when he sees the robins on the ground but will then bark at them. At what point should I start to be concerned about the barking?

Its my opinion that all gun dogs should be introduced to birds during the imprinting stage. (The first 20 weeks of life.)
