This just seems so "foreign" to me. Yesterday (12/7) Tucker (a light coated PL) made his first water retrieves of the day by busting ice with an air temperature of MINUS 7. Today his first water retrieves the temp was PLUS 1. last weekend he made water retrieves all day with air temps of +10 to +11....

Ask any Veterinarian who sees a decent number of hunting dogs and they will tell you that many of them have shotgun pellets in their butts. A dog will mark the fall much more accurately if it's steady. When the dog is already running, they don't mark as well. IMO, a steady to flush/shot/fall dog is ...
