Re: PA Grouse

Bald Eagle State Forest/Park is a great place to find them. It's where I shot my first one about 20 years ago. It's very close to State College. You can also find them in Sproul which is to the north and R B Winter to the east. Make sure you have a good dog and good boots. Miles of hiking with a sh...

Central PA pheasants?

Can anyone recommend a good place for pheasants in central PA? I know they stock allenwood and beech creek but haven't heard if they're actually good for hunting. I really want to get my GSP hank on some live birds.

Re: New from central PA

Thanks for the invite birddog1968! I'm in loganton outside of lock Haven I've stopped using the wing that way! I've started hiding it in a ten acre field and having him sniff it out! His record is 29 seconds! His instincts amaze me. Is that a good thing to be doing? I'm new and open to all suggestio...

New from central PA

My names Brian from central pa! In march I purchased my first dog ever. My dream dog of many years! A German shorthair named Hank. Being my first dog I've been doing everything possible to train the best I can. His hunting instincts are absolutely insane!
