Nothing wrong with blondes especially if you know they are faithful. Thats a metaphor, get another CZ because you know they work for at least 5000 rounds... FWIW at 5K rounds a CZ is just barely getting broke in.
Or get a Benelli Ultra light.

Re: Grouse hunting without a dog
Personally swatting a bird off the ground doesn't sound that safe too me Sounds safer to me than in the air. Just no challenge in it. I believe in fair chase and want to give the bird the opportunity to escape by wing so when my shot finally connects I feel proud of what was accomplished. Ground po...

Well looks like I will be heading back up to the high line again, the lewiston area didn't sound all that its cracked up to be. This cold snap that came on should put the snakes down for a while and keep my dogs on the ground a little longer. I can't wait.

As many legendary grouse hunters have mentioned " more grouse have been killed with boot leather than anything else" Off the ground, on a branch, in the air, by yourself, with a pointer, with a setter, with a flusher. After watching a dog get impaled on a beaver stick I tend to think a gingerly entrance into the water is of the most value and most desirable. I cringe when I see a dog blast into the water, there is no telling what lays under the surface. I also tend to agree with the boredom theory. One good retri...

Try them all before you buy. What works best for me, might not be good for you. That being said, all my grouse guns have 30" barrels, that extra measly 4" of barrel isn't going to hang you up any worse than 26" barrels. That exttra 4" of barrel will add a little bit of weight and help you out in the...

I think the thing to keep in mind other than available ammo Is that the sub gages will fire the same size of shot just as fast. Difference is the amount of shot in the load.
