i would take your mallard decoys & paint them. roll them with a dark grayish greenish black matte paint on the body & a lighter color on the head. you'll be surprised at how eager ducks will be to come investigate your spread.

The leash came in handy on the 1st couple hunts, but she listens well & didn't need it once she figured out what I wanted her to do. She was deciding not to sit, laying down instead of sitting, sitting in front of me instead of at heel, laying down when I told her to fetch.
