Re: Can keep weight on 7 month GSP

Tarhe52 I have an active 2 y/o GSP and was not able to keep weight on him as a young puppy.( He was checked for worms). Its only been the last 4 or 5 months that he has kept it on . I feed him a 30/20 quality dog food. He has calmed down a bit but still runs constantly when I let him off leash. Some...

Thanks for the replies. I should also say that I have not had any behavioral problems with my dog he is affectionate and well behaved in and out of the house. Lately he has been growling at my 12 yo son if my son approaches him while he is eating. He hasn't curled his lip but definitely a low growl. I have scolded him, took his food away , crated him,had my son feed him but it hasn't stopped.I...

Re: Grouse / Woodcock NH

I just got back from Maine with my 20 month GSP. It was our first grouse outing and we made contact with a few birds, they didn't hold well but we are both learning. The wind was strong and swirling so that didn't help either. The porcupines are plenty and we unfortunately made contact the first day...

Moxie is a 20 month intact male GSP. Part of my problem is that the woods here are so thick that the dog can be 15 yards and not be visible. Maybe pet insurance is a good idea if he keeps up this $%!T. Thanks !!
