you should have a settling cage on your landing board, so they can see around and learn where they are. you may have to put them out the first few times until they learn how to go in and out on there own with settling cage on landing board after few days you can take the cage off and let them out. d...

you might try building something for them to get away from the older birds. you can make something about 4 to 6 inches off the floor that they can get under and away from the old birds that helps a lot. 2x2 or 2x4s 4 to 6" long and nail it to a piece of plywood on each corner. nothing fancy it works

one thing might help is to put a landing broad on, they may go in better. if you don't want it there all the time put it on hinges

I raise homers and I've had that happened a few times and they may come back if you leave trap open it may take several days, feed may help. you may want to look for new ones in couple weeks
