VIDEO: The "Magic Brushpile"

Question: when you allow the dog a "redo," what do you do if he walks up and site points? Do you call him off or just let him give up on it or???

Anybody using an interesting theme in naming their dogs?

Speaking of old west, I have "little freckle faced Annie Oakley. My first pointing dog (Brittany). All names from her pedigree minus "Annie." I will try to use several names from the pedigree if I can make it work out. About to get another Brittany and a GSP; both males. This bird hunting is addicti...

Opinions/thoughts wanted on my current situation

I'd ask my vet to visit my house. Maybe there is something like "the ladder in the corner" that he might be able to pinpoint or rule out? Do you have any neighbors with pets? Any farmers that spray fields near by? Do you have a buddy with a gsp that would be willing to bring his dog over and let it ...

Hello from Florida!

How's your Brittany pup doing? I live just N of Tallahassee. I'm looking to connect with some Brittany owners and maybe even start a Brittany club. I don't know of one in this area.

advice, please

I'd start in a hall inside your house using a treat and her name. Then try hiding around the corner doing the same thing. I would also teach heal immediately. Once she is walking proficiently next to you and will accept a little tug when need be you can use a long check cord. Call her name and give ...

help, won't hunt with other dogs

I have a year old Brittany that will find birds, point them and retrieve them by herself. As soon as other dogs come out she isn't interested in pointing. Has anyone else had this? Is it a dominance thing and she is cowering or what? Any help is appreciated.
