Exactly, Ray. I also agree. Jon at perfect start would also agree. My first dog ,I worked with a trainer that started pups on wing clipped birds. Only took a year to get her back to steady solid points.

Sounds like you had a bad experience. I do NSTRA just for off season fun with my dog. She points a bird out of bounds, you just heel the dog away just like you would with a well trained dog in a AKC field trial. Our So Cal fields are 40 acres but AZ fields are 60 acres and are more fun to run. There...

Have an old Valmet Lion 16 skeet and skeet. Perfect for quail. I even use spreader loads on pen raised bobs in trials. Shot at least 20,000 rounds through it. 5.5 lbs, carry it all day.

NAVHADA at Prado is a good choice. I have a friend, Ty Mitchel that helps out down there.He is a great guy and has some well trained dogs.

Thanks for the reply. I was told it didn't make a sound on point. That is good to know. I would hang mine like my astro 430 on my chest strap of my Bucks bags vest. Easy to feel the buzz.

About 6-7 years ago, they had a recall because of some product traced back to some other Diamond made products. My dog just stopped eating it at about the time the recall came out. But that was 6 yrs ago.

It would be fairly likely to pass. The gun lobbys don't care about hunters and the population is going more toward neutral on hunting. A dbl/dbl is 2 trials going on at the same time Field A and Field B on 2 consecutive days. 4 trials on 2 days. Some guys run 3 dogs. That is pretty busy, 6, 1/2 hr runs a day. In NSTRA you are usually walking as fast as you can for the full 1/2 hr.
