Watch Standing Stone Kennels videos on u-tube "trained retrieve". Very good series.My dog would retrieve balls all day in the yard. Wild quail, nothing doing. To many more out there to point. About 6-7 years ago, they had a recall because of some product traced back to some other Diamond made products. My dog just stopped eating it at about the time the recall came out. But that was 6 yrs ago.

It would be fairly likely to pass. The gun lobbys don't care about hunters and the population is going more toward neutral on hunting. A dbl/dbl is 2 trials going on at the same time Field A and Field B on 2 consecutive days. 4 trials on 2 days. Some guys run 3 dogs. That is pretty busy, 6, 1/2 hr runs a day. In NSTRA you are usually walking as fast as you can for the full 1/2 hr.

The last line in Averageguys post are so true. Last year we had 2 young GSPs with just basic training. We had huge numbers of quail on a private ranch. Covey after covey on 2,000 acres. We just let the pups make mistakes and learn. By end of season the were much more experienced.

I put a hot wire along the bottom of my fence on pvc pipe posts, for a dog that was an escape artist. He touched that wire once. Never needed the charger after that.
