Re: GSP female with hair loss after whelping
She is very healthy. Not fat. Her hair is starting to come back I believe. I had read it was fairly common but hadn’t found any cases of it happening to a GSP. I feed her high quality dog food and give her an egg twice a week with a little coconut oil.

GSP female with hair loss after whelping
My GSP Gabe birth to 9 healthy pups on August 27. All pups were healthy and she stayed healthy through the whole process. She is now losing lots of hair. She is virtually bald on her belly and her sides, neck, and ears are very thin with hair and some skin showing. I have been feeding Kinetic 30k, 3...

I was going to put a hot wire about 4" off the ground. We are going to use that small 1/4" wire and when we find some one taking down a chain link fence put that over top of the small wire as an extra barrier.

I have a round pen I built when I was an early teenage to break horses in and am considering converting it to a fight pen. It is 42' in diameter and has (2) 10' tall 6"x6" post with another 6x6 attaching the 2 across the gate. I am going to put square chicken wire around the bottom about 4' up, put ...

Riptide Ragin Bull Sprig (the sires sire on the top side) is only one in the country. He's the only chocolate lab in the country to have the titles he has, according to my research. Thanks for the input. Yes the litter is already on the ground, it was an accidental breeding at this time. The owner was going to wait for the male to get a little older and get all health certs on both done before breeding. But one slipped out of the gate and now there are puppies.

Training sit works good in the house during those rainy days. I can have the dog to sit and go somewhere and hide. With a cat and 2 toddlers there is plenty of distraction to tech her to stay no matter what. Also work on hold for force fetch foundation. Whoa is the same situation as sit, lots of dis...

My GSP was/is the same way. I took her to a trainer and she busted in on one pigeon and ended up catching it (long story). That set her back a lot, because once a pup is at the point of figuring out they don't need you to catch a bird then the team aspect of hunting/training is gone. He kept her and...
