BTDT, But here is my DIY upland launcher Under $50

Hey everyone, I was so proud of myself, i lost my dog training launchers in a move (Cannot find the box) and since training never stops, i decided to try my hand at making some. It was a little daunting, i'll admit, but this launcher works well as a manual (Some of my electronics are shipping) and I...

Let's see/or tell us what your favorite training tool is

As the title says, tell us what training tool (other than birds) you can't live without, if you have retrievers/pointers specify that too. I have a few but my favorite for retrievers/pointers would hafta be a Training table.

Re: Need some new puppy advice from 8 weeks-4months

With your pup I'd stick to the basics and keep it fun. SHORT training sessions (and I mean short 1-2 min) where pup doesn't even know he is being trained. I took mine outside and everytime she sat by my side I'd mark the behavior with "yes" but not label it. Also DO NOT OVER TRAIN! We all want a fan...

Re: lab catching pheasants

I'm pretty sure I'd talk to the farm owner and let them know that their birds may need to be handled less or just genuinely talk to him about the possibility of not guiding with your dogs because you wouldn't want to inhibit their natural ability. I think I would probably ask someone with a setter o...

Best dog I have ever had is a lab mix, just passed away last month at 14 years. My favorite breed would have to be lab (super passionate about them) I grew up with my dad hunting with em' and when I got old enough he was getting a lab puppy and I was getting a lab puppy and we started playing who ca...
