I'm in a similar situation myself, and as advised above that is pretty much how I have been handling the situation. Sassy and I go visit the chickens daily, sometimes multiple times. She is still a bit shy about the chickens due to their relative sizes. The parrot on the other hand... :? Oddly enoug...

I sympathize completely. The last couple weeks are the worst. I just got Sassy a week ago, and the couple weeks between the breeders calling me to tell me her and her litter mates passed the final vet check and my turn to pick was pure murder.

I have no experience with acupuncture/laser therapy with canines, but I HAVE seen it do truly amazing things with equines from my days at the racetrack. I see no reason why it wouldn't help dogs as well.
