I run two gunner kennels and a truck vault instead of a dog box. I can fit a third crate from ruff tough when I need it.
Quite a bit of stuff in a midsize pickup

Best Kennel?
I like it for the ease of moving it. It also doesn't fluctuate with the temperature as much. If you have multiple cars you use, it is worth it over metal. The zinger winger is under 40lbs. It's either going to left be, cooled, or wrapped. The material of the crate isn't a significant factor. I'm su...

They finally caught him. Roysetters
I've hunted with Roy and nothing in this thread said about him is true. What we have here is a jealous local lying thru his teeth about a good man. Roy is the farthest thing from a game hog i ever known he won't shoot even a bird that volunteers up on its own or even one his dogs don't handle prope...

Best Kennel?
I have 2 Ruff Toughs. I also have a Gunner. The Gunner is significantly nicer. Locks, has tie down points, and simply feels nicer. If you can stretch the budget it is worth the extra cost. I like knowing if my truck gets rear ended my dog may have a chance of surviving. That is worth the $500.00 in...

e-collar and bird launcher
I am looking to buy an e-collar and a remote bird launcher. I have been looking at the Tri-Tronics Sport PRO by Garmin. Since being new any recommendations on e-collar and remote bird launchers? The e-collar would have to be expandable for multiple dogs also. Thanks Daniel I have a Sport Pro and ha...

pensive 8 weeks behind.jpg This is my new family member. I know, she looks like a hound, but there is nothing hound-like in her behavior. She is calm and people oriented, eager to please. I was thinking that she didn't use her nose very well, but finally figured out I just wasn't reading her correc...

Practice for the season ~Trap
I shoot a stupid amount of trap. Mostly on a competitive level. I shoot ATA events year round and practice 4-5 days a week. In an average year I shoot about 15,000-20,000 shells at trap between registered shoots and practice. I would say I am good but not among the greats by any means. I have an ave...

Post dogs on Point!!!!
Doing some work in the field the other day. Humid with no wind. Dolly went on point 10-15 feet out. I was really happy. She let me do a lap around her taking photos. She held it for about 5 minutes before I flushed. IMG_0239.JPG [img]http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160912/2b8c830d3c4b203f8a3c9c6ac...

Combo shotguns
I know this braggart dude who is indeed a very good trap and skeet shooter but he was boasting about using his 28ga on pheasants because he just takes head shots. I was a bit skeptical. I would describe myself as a very good trap shooter, with ATA averages in the 94%+ range. Going from clay targets...

My main field gun I use is a Beretta Silver Pigeon IV that I turned into a combo set with 20/28/410 gauge. I love it. I have a lot of very nice shotguns. Everything from Krieghoff to Fabarms and everything else you can think of. That Beretta has been surprisingly amazing. It doesn't owe me a cent, a...
