Re: Gear to start buying
If I could go back and give myself some advice I would pick a training program, attend the seminar for that program, buy the book/video, get my training equipment and birds, and THEN get a puppy. I was behind the curve on my first one because I bought a pup and didn't really have a plan going forwar...

I don't have any pics but I've been working on steady to wing and shot for a couple of weeks now. It's been going well but man it's hot. Instead of working 15 - 20 minutes then 10 minutes on the CG, I've been working 10 minutes then 20 minutes on the CG. I've also been doing most of the work first t...

launcher issues
Several years ago I bought a pair of the m doggies launchers. The range was pretty limited on them so they didn't get used much. I decided I want to start using them so I charged them and the range is about 10 feet. I did some online research and it seems like some of these launches had bad batterie...

There were many more that had collars with contact information but the owners had been displaced. Mos...

I don't give alligators a second thought unless it's early teal season or I'm hunting Lake Seminole in South Georgia, and then it's for my buddies retriever. I've never known anyone that had a gator bother a dog, and I know people that hunt hogs, coons, rabbits, ducks, quail, woodcock, and deer in t...

I don't know about the human protein bars and have never thought of it. I have used glycocharge sold by LCS on multi-day hunts. I am very confident that it works and could tell a big difference in the dogs performance when I gave them the glycocharge. I believe I gave it to them after the second day...

I'm using frontline or advantix depending on what I have on hand. I also give them a spray down with Adams Flea and Tick when needed. It seems like I remember several folks posting that they used the stuff at wal mart with good results and it is much cheaper. I don't recall the name of the product.

I use Frontline and Advantix (depending on what I have on hand) and the Adams Flea and Tick spray.
