Kennel or crate size question

So I'm searching for two new kennels for my DDs. These dogs will got north of 85#. Does the dog box or kennel for travel need to be slightly smaller then larger? Do you want your dog more confined for the travel, or should they be able to stand and take a chance of falling abs getting hurt? Most siz...

Hunting dog has UTI

Found out our 6 month old Draht male has a slight uti. The vet says the water in our area is a huge factor. He gave us some very expensive food to give him for a few weeks. We have been feeding Muenster/IAMS mix. What about any supplements that you guys would recommend? I'm not going to keep him on ...

OH yes they are up to date on EVERYTHING. We are very meticulous about that sort of thing. We wouldn't even let them around other dogs till they had all their shots.

Another puppy question...

Raising two puppies at a time is not the easiest thing to do. If this is a choice, you may wish to reconsider. Dude just cause things are hard is no reason too throw in the towel. These two will make the best hunting/gun dogs you've ever seen. Their parents are world class stock. They'll be fine. A...

Re: Another puppy question...

Just a suspicion here: Littermate syndrom. One dog is nearly always less responsive to people and looks to the other dog instead. Often they will be friendly, jumpy and obnoxious and seem people focused because they are so excited around people, but the concept of communicating with you is less und...

Re: Another puppy question...

Thank you for the welcome. I do reward the dogs when they do wants asked. At this age I'll do clicker for "mark" and then give a treat 3 out 5 times and then just give praise, then once a week they'll get a treat. But she doesn't do anything asked willingly. She puts the brakes on and will not move....

Questions about puppies?

Hey guys and gals, we just bought the sister of our male DD, they are 12 weeks old. We've had him three weeks prior and have been working with him and this week started her training. My question is do we let them play tug with each other, or rough house? I've read were people say to let them rough h...
