New bow string for compound bow - custom?

Does anyone know if custom bow strings are better than OEM strings? I got my bow in 2011 and a friend of mine just suggested that I get new strings online. I found this listing for rytera strings but to be honest I don't know if I can trust this company or not. Just looking for some help thanks.
