It should be good ole boys and gals having fun with their dogs. If no one is having fun neither are the dogs.

I hunt year round. At least two times a week. Bird season is an added bonus. Some question using versatile dogs on anything other than feather. Puzzling.

Bill T is on to something. That’s why I asked what part of the country she’s from. 1/4 shorthair 1/4 greyhound 1/2 bull terrier makes a Bull Arab. I think personally, she was bred by wild boar hunters.

I agree with cj on being quiet. I hunt everything under the sun. I don’t post any of it cause of the negative attention. You have guys go out and bag a limit, then post everything. Real hunters don’t need to do that.

Does anyone know of breeders who have old school breeding qualities? Example old Grief lines. Tough as nails, hunt anything under the sun and fearless.

Some dogs absolutely will not work with other people for a period of time. Your pointer may have to stay longer to get adjusted. I’ve seen this happen and it took two months for the dog to finally respond. I guess it comes down to how much time and money you’re willing to spend. Sent from my iPhone ...

Sounds like you have a german setter pointer. Feed him dine-o-vite and liquid chops he’ll be a top performing german shorthair pointer.

I use live pigeon all the time. I let mine fly daily and leave the trap door open. They act wild it seems from doing it this way. Raising pigeon is much cheaper than buying them all the time also.

Bf 115 I use live birds with gunshot. They go hand and hand. Eventually your dog will see the gun and know it's time. Anyway you do it just preoccupy your dogs mind. Tooling I understand your response but it was rude.

I personally think he should home this pup in a hunting home and get a dog he can use for service. But that's my opinion, I don't know if that's even an option for Gsp fng.

Don he never stated he was going to hunt this dog. He stated he's enrolled in hunter safety. He also stated he's used other toys to try and spark interest. If he's just going to use the dog as a pet tug of war is a good way to spark interest for fetch.

To answer your question stone face if you still read and check.... To find "hard dogs" is usually difficult. Therefore breed your own to your liking. Hunt more than one dog. Use gps collars. Carry slugs and kill the enemy. Know the enemy comes in many sizes. The local neighborhood raccoon can drown your dog with ease. To quit hunting all together....Ridiculous!!
