Headed into Quilomene & WD (shortened to avoid moderation) this weekend for chukar. Anyone know how bird numbers are there this year?
Overall WA has been good to me this season, decent wild pheasant numbers and quail...but first trip out for chukar.

Turkey - Spokane
Not gundog related. So I'm in western WA and working on arranging some farm ground near Spokane to hunt turkey's through some friends and relatives who don't hunt but have / know farms with ground with at least some turkeys. The largest property is between Fairfield and Spokane near the Idaho border...

Re: WA - Chukar Populations
Well unfortunately some last minute family friend tragedy's came up with my hunting partners and I acquiesced to my wife's request that I don't wander around alone in an area I never see other people and don't have cell coverage. Everything is good to go and I'll hit it up early next season Lord wil...

Bought a BPS 12 Gauge Upland special with a english straight stock and 22" barrel a...

Re: WA - Chukar Populations
That’s super helpful. Was intending to go into WD there, getting into quilomene north of kitittas is just so time consuming..How big do your setters run? I’ve got a lab who will point on the singles or if a covey is tight (on quail at least) or on the singles or doubles he runs bigger than a flushin...

WA - Chukar Populations
Any Washington people here been up into Whiskey "bleep" and Quilomene this year and have a report on chukar populations? I have had some good luck with my 9 month pup on quail and pheasant and been out a few times for duck. Last upland day I can get out this season is Monday and debating between doi...

Back
Was on here a bit years ago, back at it again after the kids are old enough to make it easier for me to get out often. Now with a retired Lab and an 8 month old lab out in the field for the first time this year. I live in Western Washington, do a little Duck over hear but mostly drive to Eastern Was...

Alpha 100 / Etc. - Distance Travelled
Looking at info on my days out this year and curious how far ya'll pups travel in a day of hunting if you have the ability to track it...and how far it is compared to how far you travel.... So far I'm for a 6-7 hours out for me, I travel about 7-8 miles and the dog is doing ~23 miles...that's decent...
