Here's Ruby, she's 7 months old now. We're working on "whoa" but kind of looks like a point. A butterfly had her attention. Not a point but hopefully that's ok.

Pointing dog trainer in OH, MI, IN
I'm looking for a trainer within a 2 hour drive of Toledo, OH. I'm looking for someone to get her pointing and holding birds. I'll finish her myself, just don't have the time needed to start her. She'll be whoa broke when I send her for training. I used Crosswind Kennel for my older GSP and he did a...

I just used gundogcentral to create one and it took more time to register for the site. As I typed the sire and dam it found both dogs and filled the pedigree for me.

Re: recommendation for upland gun
I've had a Benelli Montefeltro for the past 3 years and love the gun. Before the Monte I was shooting a M1, I have been extremely happy with Benelli's! If price is a concern look at the Stoeger M3000. Quality isn't the same as a Benelli but neither is the price.

Re: E Collar/Invisible fence question
You won't have any problems. I have invisible fence at the house for my GSP and JRT and it has not affected the GSP's range. Depending on the dog you may not need to keep the collar on at all times. Right now Gunther hasn't had his collar on in 2 weeks. Eventually he'll figure it out and need a remi...

Re: Keeping quail
How long are you wanting to keep them? If it's just for a week you can use a wire cage but longer than that they'll need a flight pen. To get them back you'll need a recall pen do a search lots of info here about them.

Re: What are you using to feed/water your birds?
bh99 all you need is some sheet metal, or maybe some sheets of tin siding. Take a piece and make it into a funnel and make it real big and it will be perfect. It will keep the rain off the feed and birds out of it too. I have 2'x4' plywood slanted to one end on top of it now and it is still getting...

Re: What are you using to feed/water your birds?
This is the feeder I use but have a couple issues with it. First is the top is open and bird get inside. I fixed that by puting anti-tip dog dish in it upside down. The second problem is I have the feeder outside and when it rains the feed gets wet. To fix this I'm going to build some walls with a r...

The dog on the right in the middle pic looks like he has some blue heeler in him. Not an expert but the top of his head seems awfully wide similar to a heeler.

Here's a good link that can answer a lot of questions. I used this when we were breeding Jack Russel's, didn't follow everything to the letter such as the cottage cheese and hard boiled eggs. I did do the multi-viatimin everyday and eggs couple times weekly. http://www.faqs.org/faqs/dogs-faq/medical...

Not trying to start something here but why do most Britt clubs only allow Britts in 90% of the stakes they offer? I've been wanting to try a FT but it's hard to find one on the right date and right club. I noticed the GSP, GWP, and Gordon clubs only have a couple stakes that must be the breed holdin...

No Bark Collar
I justed order a couple no bark collars for my dogs. I wanted to get opinions on how to introduce them to the dogs. I am using an invisible fence system and I want to make sure the dogs don't get confused on why they are being nicked.

Which O/U
Looking for a nice o/u for 1-3k. Must come in 26in barrel and be lightweight, will be used for upland hunting. Looked at the Ruger Red label, Browing White Lightining, Beretta Ultralight, and Franchi Alcione but not sure if their are any others to consider.

From a buyer stand point I do not want restrictions on what I can do with a dog I buy. As an example I was looking at a listing for some GSP's pups, I went to kennel's website and they had a link to their buyer contract. Most of it was pretty standard until I seen that the asking price which is aver...
