Any N.C. or VA hunters out there finding any woodcock this year??

That's awesome! Great for 6 months old. This year was my labs first hunt also she's a little over a year, made right many good retrieves several being from thickets and woods. Feathers took her some getting use to but she love to get them birds. Good luck to you and your son!

As far as upland bird hunting goes here in NC the heyday of gentlemen Bob is long gone. Coveys of quail are few and far between, almost none. Would love to see the days I grew up hearing about from my grandfather. Still can find some woodcock and snipe the right time of year. Definitely not a shorta...
