We had an Aussie/Lab mix that looked similar.

My cousin has an Aussie/Lab mix and the color markings are very similar but their head and body shape is different.

You won't get any definitive answers here based on the pictures. It'll all be guesses. They do make DNA kits you could use to get a more exact answer.

I'm considering adopting a 4-5 month old German shorthair and lab (probably) mix puppy from the animal shelter. What are your opinions on turning it into a bird dog? Pheasant, quail, dove etc.
