Re: Pedigree
I'm from Kentucky. Kind of shooting for foot trials but mostly hunting quail. Don't even have a horse. She's not but 5 months old but I don't believe she's gonna be a horse trial dog. Her range is not that wide at least for now. She does hold her birds and is good around the gun. She is getting more...

Re: Pedigree
I appreciate everyone's replies. I'm not really looking for critiquing of her bloodline but I'm sure that might happen. Just looking for some input on some of the big names and what type of trials they may have competed in such as horse or foot type trials. She is already proving her blood in the fi...

Pedigree
I'm new to the GSP breed and have acquired my first pup. Could someone look over her pedigree and let me know what they think? I plan on using her mainly for hunting but thought I may try a few trials in my area. The trials will mostly consist of some ufta trials and possibly look into some akc tria...

Re: New to GSP
Yes I'm looking forward to it. The teacher has allot of titles on her dogs including ud and hd titles. She has a couple collies. So I think as far as training obedience she should be great! Thanks for the help, I didn't know about the titles and stitch prior to this post. I now have more faith and i...

Re: New to GSP
As of now she's not allowed on the couch. But later on she will be. I'd prefer she didn't do it on her own and ask to instead. I don't see any problem it at all.

Re: New to GSP
No she's just teaching obedience level 1 which consists of allot of commands she already knows. Then she's got another level and she also trains for agility. I am not interested in agility at all. Honestly aside from the socialization with other dogs I don't know why I'm going. She already sits unti...

Re: New to GSP
Thank you all for the tips. We have been working on obedience at the house like sit, lay down and place. She's doing pretty good so far. I have an 8 week obedience class with a local lady with akc agility titles. It starts on the 27th. Really enjoy having her in the house with us as a family. I've s...

Hey everyone! I am new to theGSP breed and could use sombre help. I always had setters and they were outside dogs but now have a gsp and she's inside. She's pretty good in the house most times. She's 14 weeks old now. She is crated during the day unless we're home. Then exercise and training in the ...
