Due to time limits I usually work 6-7 dogs at the same time every morning

Every time I give a command I preface it, with the dogs name that I’m talking to, and the rest of them ignore the command

Never really even occurred to me that would cause a problem, they figure it out on their own

I wouldn’t give up on him. I’ve had dogs with supposedly bad hips that lived a long healthy life and were productive bird dogs

Pointers are strong and when they mature their muscular offsets some of this issue

She’s a baby, with experience she will figure out on her own she can’t catch birds that fly off and the problem will go away on its own

Never ever shoot at a low flying bird, let them fly off, even good dogs will sometimes break and chase, it’s not worth the risk ever

I've hunted with Roy and nothing in this thread said about him is true. What we have here is a jealous local lying thru his teeth about a good man. the electric strand is run thru porcelain eyes it does not touch the 6 foot fence , meaning the big fence is not electric

just thought I would explain that if you aren't familiar with horse fencers the strand is about four inches inside the fence

dogs don't mature until age 3 he's a pup and sounds like a heck of a nice one, let him mature at his natural pace and you will end up with a lot more dog in the long run.

Would you expect consistent excellence from a 16 year old kid? That's a good analogy.
