I've used about every method of Force Fetch. Mainly to be familiar with the good and bad. The one that I think that works well for most amateur or first timers is the Perfect Retrieve DVD by Jon Hann (Perfection Kennels).

I tried using a collar to FB replacing the toe hitch with a collar, that plan is a hair shirt to me. I do not claim it does not work. That way just does not suit me. I think Walker was a disciple of the West/Gibbons method. Mo lindley is also a follower of the same method but has tweaked it somewhat to use launchers and homers. I lean towards his method because he doesn't utilize a helper as much as some of the others.

The bar height is 34 inches. The extensions are 1" I.D. square tubing (.120 wall or 11 gauge). With the .120 inch wall this makes the O.D. 1 !/4". The receivers are lighter gauge, probably 16 gauge. A friend fabricated the brackets that I bolted to the front grill guard. I'll measure the tubing dimensions. The bracket put my bar at the right height and moved it forward of the tires some more.

The Green and Yellow have a tendency to expand at the crimp when fired. This makes them hard to eject from the cylinder of my bank pistol. I prefer the Brown loads but also reload 20ga. blanks with varying load charges.

Here are two options for tie outs or chain gangs. Hard to find good dog equipment so I normally make my own using chain or 1/8" cable + crimps. Rather than use the double ended snaps it is just as easy to use a bronze snap at each end.
