Everything you do from the time you bring your pup home is teaching it something. So be aware of where you want to go and what the pup is learning in its interactions with you. I would say that if you are looking at a rounded, versatile companion you will have a pretty solid structure to basic obedi...

The 32/32 is 720kcal per cup. Great food. Sent from my moto g power 5G - 2023 using Tapatalk I tried a few bags of the 32/32 and found it to be a little to hot on its own for my dogs. I was probably over feeding it. I ended up blending it with leftover PPP to use it up. I can feed the 30/25 with no...

I feel the ability for a young dog to learn how to locate wild bird is more important than pointing at this age. But if the ability to find them is no longer an issue, and actively rooting them out persists, then she would probably benefit from some controlled work and being taught some manners in ...

Terribly sorry to hear that. It is never easy. Had to put two of mine down a couple months ago - one was 17 years old and couldn't see or hear anymore, the other had cancer that they had given her 3 months to live 3 years ago - we were blessed to have some extra time with her.

I always counselled new puppy buyers to ask their vet - they are the ones that are in tune with the incidence rate if things like Parvo in your area. Whatever harm you think may occur from not taking the dog out where other dogs are will be miniscule to the harm that would come from having a pup wit...

Everyone does it different. Personally when I am taking a young pup out what I want from them is to learn how and where to hunt. Chasing is neither here nor there - it is a non event. Seems like normal puppy stuff with a dog with energy to burn.
There is no "too harsh" when dealing with biting. But reacting out of frustration or anger is real and something you want to avoid. She thinks this is a good game and whatever you are doing is considered part of the game to her.

Excellent post gonehuntin. Yes, houses should be "puppy proofed". Yes, we must be respectful of the fact that puppies will get into mischief.
