You might try to get some young unflown homing pigeons for that loft. I converted my quail pen that style and put an aviary on it. Works great now for homers. I like pigeons for my young dog training. You dont have to worry as much about them not flying and getting caught by the dog. I actually keep...

You need to get he dog to understand it is supposed to stand still when on birds. You will flush the bird for him. Having to whoa the dog to get it to stand is not ideal. I shipped 2 pups in 1 crate from Arizona to Kentucky. I think it was $240 on delta. The ground transports that I checked were higher. Price was by crate dimensions. This was a medium size crate.
