Moese, sometimes you have to get into the water with the dog and hold the food out in front of his face to level him off. Also try to have the dog hold something in his mouth. By getting the head lower and at water level it levels the dog's back.

Yep I agree with DogDr.
I've had dogs with ulcerations from running through the brush and the ophthalmologist has always said that steroids should never be used as it can cause scar tissue to form.
I've also seen entropion and surgery is always necessary.

Ugh I remember back in the 70's and 80's we had a huge outbreak of Equine Encephalitis in New England. I had several friends who lost their horses from it and also know of quite a few humans who got it. It originated from the pheasant population and the mosquitoes transmitting it.

You can get a belly band for him. Make him wear it at all times in the house. When he pees on himself he won't like it. Or just take a cloth baby diaper and wrap it around his midsection covering his penis. Pin it at the top of his back. This also works well.

That doesn't look like mites to me. It looks almost like a Staph infection. But what it is caused by who knows.
I had several dogs that had that same type of thing last year at just about time of year. It was under their chins though.I put them all on a course of Cephalexin and it clear it right up.

Yep I use them for my bitches. I buy the denim type ones at Petsmart. I've found they are the sturdiest. Just use a hygene pad to line it with.
You will need to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't eat it. I take it off when the bitch is in her crate at night.
