Re: Going To Kansas?

Hey Bossman We have pretty much hunted the entire county of Lincoln & Mithcell. Have friends in the area for access to private land. If you have access to land south of Lincoln, that's where I have heard the best grounds will be for Quail. We are usually hunt north of Lincoln and in south Mithcell c...

Re: Bungee cord on ATV roading bars

I use the rubber bungee attached to the chain, sort of works as a shock absorber for the dogs. All our dogs really seem to enjoy the roding. it sure workls great for getting them ready for the season.
Tried to load a pict but file size to big.

Been hunting in KS since 1985, started in the Hays area and in 1991 moved up to the north central around Lincoln and Beloit. All the info coming from the state sources looks like it could be a good one. The locals in area we hunt are all having good things to say. Will be there for opener then off t...

Re: What about Guides/ who do you use

If you want to really hunt wild Quail, contact Keith Montgomery at Windmill Outfitters. He is the reall deal, nothing fancy and a lot of walking. His cell # is 580-938-1001 and his website is windmilloutfitters.com. We have hunted with him for about 6 yrs 2 times per season. I too have some real hor...

Re: Dog Boots

The tried & true "duct-tape", cheap & waterproof. We use it out west every season and it handles the burr's/cactus pretty well. I'm sure it would work in the pool.

Re: Pheasant...?

GA boy born & raised, started on Pheasant in SW KS in 1985 and been back west every yr. They are fun birds to hunt & great for hard working pointers. If you like to shoot birds, you gotta go!!! Make sure you have "broken-in" boots and depending on time of year they may need to be waterproof (snow). ...

Gun Repair

Need "good" Gunsmith for repair to Browning 20ga. 525 that does not shoot top barrel (sometimes)
also have Parker Repro 20Ga that both barrels shoot at same time (sometimes)
Let me know if you have a good repair man for quality 20ga.
thanks
Jack
