Re: Nationals Eureka

Talked to Rick Heller last night, they called back 18 dogs to the second series. Big congrats to my fellow Four Lakes members for making the second series, Rick Heller (Ruger), Tim Zick (Vegas AND Sonney), and Rob Schuster (JD). Go get'um fellas!

Re: Four Lakes GSPC Horseback trial ** BADGER $1000

I tried talking myself out of it but...... 7 days of giving Dennis the business just wasn't enough. Seriously though, there wasn't just one or two people that held this together this year it was a really good group effort and I just wanted to make sure that everyone who contributed was recognized.

Re: Four Lakes GSPC Horseback trial ** BADGER $1000

Thanks Bill..... Dennis-There are lots of club members that work as hard as Tim and Erica to make this trial successful. You could easily make the argument that Ron Theole and Dave Quindt work harder than anyone as they spent many hours before the trial preparing food and than cooking and cleaning u...

Re: GSPCA/Houston, We have a problem... Retrieving

I like the format of needing to pass the retrieve four times in order to get your retrieving cert. Takes a lot of pressure off the clubs in terms of liability, grounds to run on, etc, and my opinion COULD be a much more realistic situation for a dog. The key word is could. The first proposal is much...

We just bred FC/AFC Maggie MH (my avatar dog) out of FC/AFC Dr N's CJ MH and a Cadens bitch to Cadens Dino, a cecil son. Double saddle, should be a good one if you like Saddle. There is info on all of these dogs on Dennis website, www.cadenskennels.com . Pups are due Feb 20th if anyone's interested!...

I don't have the running order in an electronic format, that's why I didn't post it. No Limit's Annie Up is in the last brace of derby (6), the brace mate is a dog Rich Barber is running named Hoosier Rev It Up JR. Hotpepper, is that one yours? Nothing new on my end, I am on the lookout for a new pu...

John Rock and I are heading down there tomorrow afternoon. I'm bringing a couple of Dennis's dogs down to run in the open and Amateur.

I did get a hold of a running order from Jack this morning, looks like they are starting with the limited first. 68 dogs total running across all of the stakes.

Hotpepper-
I am pretty sure we will all be there. Rick and I will be riding down together along with Jim (maybe).

I would guess John is coming, I will see him in a couple weeks at the Des Plaines and find out what his plans are.

Last I heard they (Four Lakes GSP club) will be making a decision on Monday whether the trial next weekend will be cancelled and yes the pointer trial did get cancelled.

Cross your fingers for no rain, a little wind, and some sunshine.

Anyone know how the grounds in Portage WI are?

Hoping to get some information on how the grounds are. I heard they are flooded and this weekends trial was canceled. Entered in an AF pointer trial there next weekend and than the Badger 500 limited that the Four Lakes GSP club puts on. Hoping the water recedes and we are able to run. Anyone else p...

Thanks for the welcomes... Currently have two GSP's FC/AFC Cadens Maggie MH and Shady Lane Miss Ginger. Only trial Maggie, have run a lot of AKC trials and tried the NGSPA circuit with Maggie this spring. She has won some big AKC trials over the years but just not consistent enough to do anything in...

New to the GDF from Wisconsin

Been reading the GDF for some time, finally decided to join. I figured that someone should jump on here and bring some truth to the Hotpepper posts! Just kidding, glad to finally have joined.

New to the GDF but had to jump in for this topic.

I have to give a vote for Ruger just because I've spent a lot of time with him and he is very consistent.

I also have seen LB put down some great runs and it would be a crime not to mention Amatulli's Selina.
